Luca – Kitchen & Bar Lower Parel, Mumbai

Luca – Kitchen & has opened at Todi Mills in Lower Parel replacing a restaurant that I had reviewed called O:h Cha. The place is done up well replacing the old interiors by adding colours and giving it a refreshing look. The minute you enter this place you will fall in love with the space. This about a 70+ seater that also offers a mezzanine floor for private parties. A Long bar that makes amazing cocktails, a DJ in a corner mixing rocking 80’s and latest commercial music and they also screen all the live matches on a big screen, I enjoyed watching the semi-finals of the Wimbledon out there.
Coming to the food – Why do you want to travel to South America, Mexico or the Caribbean when you can get the same food at Luca – Kitchen & Bar. Great part about their menu is that it’s divided into 3 sections from Costal South American to Mexican to Caribbean that makes it easy to order. I was recently invited to review Luca – Kitchen & Bar and here are some of the cocktails and food that I loved and would recommend:
Mexican Cha Cha: A perfectly made cocktail with tequila and and cranberry juice.
Spicy Grilled Vegetables Nachos: Freshly made nachos with tortilla topped with melted cheese, tomato salsa, sour cream, guacamole, jalapenos and olives.
Passion Fruit Rosemary Martini: A great combination of passion fruit syrup and Vodka garnished with a lemon wedge and rosemary.
Crunchy Chicken Tacos which had a great taste of chicken, salsa, guacamole, cheese and crunchy lettuce.
Sea Bass Ceviche: Fresh sea bass marinated with habanero chilli, lime chilli pickles, sweet potato and red onion.
Crunchy Peruvian Corn: Fresh sweet corn grilled to perfection and topped with chives, sour cream and served with basil pesto.
Melon Cucumber Martini: A refreshing cocktail made with Vodka and melon garnished with a cucumber slice. Loved the combination!
Chifa Wings: Boneless free range chicken wings tossed in rocoto, panca chilli & soya sauce with a sweetness of chancaca honey.
Tropical Spice: A spicy cocktail with the goodness of Vodka, pineapple juice and spices.
Yo Man Chicken: We replaced the Chicken Leg with Chicken Breast which is marinated in hot jerk sauce which is cooked to perfection and served veggies.
Long Island Iced Tea because no review is complete without this cocktail. My all time favorite a must explore!
Rasta Special: Baked red snapper stuffed with okra with a spicy mushroom sauce served with veggies and mash potatoes.
Rum Cake: A light cake served with a pineapple rum glaze and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and grilled slice of pineapple.
Churros: An all time favorite fried tex-mex dessert served with three chocolate dips, fresh fruit and marshmallow.

Verdict: An amazing place to be and rock your night away with some rocking music, cocktails and great food. Would I wanna go there again? Most likely Yes, specially when there's a live match that's screening. Sit back watch a match and enjoy a good cocktail. Let me know in the comment section about your experiences once you visit Luca - Kitchen & Bar till then Take care!

  2. On our visit to this event space, we mostly stayed downstairs, where the beer and liquor selection was quite admirable. The staff here really pride themselves on the beers and food they have.
