In a burgeoning F&B space in a city like Mumbai, comes Candy & Green like the proverbial breath of fresh air. Split across an indoor dining restaurant and a rooftop garden space for diners, Candy & Green’s décor embodies its philosophy. From a picturesque landscaped roof garden to a live greenhouse growing essential herbs, the restaurant is perfect for big groups as well as someone who wants a quiet nook to just sit and unwind as the world goes by.

A unique mix of fun eating and fit choices, at Candy & Green ingredients reign over limiting boundaries of cuisines, and meat-less dishes made of seasonal and locally sourced produce redefine the idea of eating well. With homegrown herbs, microgreens and leafy plants adorning its vertical garden, Candy & Green produces edible foliage in house, thereby reducing its carbon footprint drastically. These are also elevated in cocktails as well as verdant smoothies and juices, making the beverages menu a rather extensive one for all sorts of tipplers.


Owner Shraddha Bhansali has tied up with Terra Farms to transform her extended part of her terrace into her farm. This farm produces about 25kgs of edible foliage per week & about 100kgs of the same per month thereby reducing its carbon footprint drastically! In fact, considering there’s no fuel consumption for some of the ingredients, Candy & Green is among the very few eateries to use Zero Carbon Produce. These are also elevated in cocktails as well as verdant smoothies and cold press juices, making the beverages menu a rather extensive one for all sorts of tipplers. Cocktails made with fresh ingredients such as Vanilla & Hibiscus Bellini and Bell Pepper & Basil Martini make the dining experience wholesome.

We were invited for a special preview sundowner to sample a few dishes on their menu. Unfortunately we could not reach for the sundowner but fell in love with place as soon as we entered. Loved the decor, view, music & overall vibe of this place. A super refreshing experience. The 100 seater multi-storied restaurant opens to public on Monday, 20th Feburary 2017.

Cold Sob Peat - Pair, Peach & Vodka

Watermelon Smash - Watermelon, Passion Fruit & Whiskey

Favorite Kale Salad - kale, dates, parmesan, drizzle of lemon vinaigrette, toasted garlic crouton

Tortilla Soup - Mexican spiced tomatoes with tortilla chips 

Kale Crumble Tart - kale, broccoli, sundried tomatoes, crumbled kale topping

Roasted Tomato Stone-Baked Flatbread - Mozzarella, bocconcini, crispy sage, confit garlic, drizzle of extra virgin olive oil 


Mexican Bountiful Board - baked jalapeno poppers, guacamole, smoky dip, salsa & tortilla chips


Vanilla & Hibiscus Bellini - Vanilla Pod, hibiscus & sparking wine


Kaffir Musk Martini - musk melon, kaffir lime leaves & vodka


Fresh Herb Pasta - house grown herbs, extra virgin olive oil, roasted chilli & fusilli 


We also wanted to to try the the No more Depresso Mousse & their Pancakes unfortunately they ran out of it. Nevermind, we loved this restaurant so much that I can't wait to go back to savour the other dishes that we didn't try & off course the desserts from their Happy Ending section on the menu.

Verdict: Vegetarian food takes an ingredient-centric wholesome turn in SoBo without sacrificing on taste. Once you visit Candy & Green you will not miss meat or eggs. The flavors, hospitality, ambiance & cocktails are SPOT-ON!! Go explore this gorgeous restaurant though being vegetarian it blew our minds away. It's the new restaurant in Mumbai that serves vegetarian food with a twist.
